Went up to Davis Sunday morning with my kid. We stopped at McD's to get breakfast.
We bought our dogs with us, so Rusty and Xuxa were fussing because we didn't share
much of our breakfast with them. So I said we would get them hamburgers on the
way back home.
On the way back home to the City, I pulled off the highway but I overshot Burger King
and Xuxa started howling. I kid you not, she started this high pitched keening
that didn't stop until I got the car turned around and pulled into Burger King.
Like kids, dogs won't let you forget a promise.

Thu, October 8, 2009 - 9:08 PMDavis is nice but it is a very FLAT place. Most of the housing is rather generic. Just boring, boxy, cookie cutter places. There are a few old houses that are lovely. I love old houses.

A few weeks ago, at work, some of the girls went on a sonic lunch break and brought it back to eat. One of the girls took a bite of her burger and her face turned white and she spit it out...THERE WAS A DEAD ROACH IN THERE AND SHE BIT INTO IT!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
grody. Plus, last time I ate there, they messed up Daddy's super easy order. Also, it sucks b/c you feel obligated to tip them b/c they make waitress salary, but they don't really do anything a waitress would normally do to earn her tips...like a refill....or picking up your food once you're done with it, or offer dessert, or small talk. Not cool. -

Mon, October 12, 2009 - 12:32 PMYa, but their Cherry Slushie makes up for a lot of bad food. We hit it during happy hour once in a while and get a yummy cup of liquid sugar.
